WWE has had a strange 12 months, with over 80 different Superstars leaving the company since early 2021. This additional roster comes on top of the cut, which came as a surprise in 2020. Of course, this has an effect on the WWE 2k22 roster list . , because there will be less playable wrestlers than in previous iterations of the game. The 2K22 roster is packed with superstar talent from the Hall of Famers to the current WWE Champions. Unfortunately, a large portion of this year’s roster consists of former superstars like Keith Lee, Jeff Hardy, and even Shane McMahon, to name a few. The release of WWE 2K20 quickly turned into a blatant failure for 2K. The numerous bugs, glitches and issues that highlighted the game’s flaws have spawned a series of YouTube compilations. As a result of the backlash, WWE 2K21 was cancelled, and 2K went back to the drawing board. WWE 2K22 attempts to make amends after two years with a new release and the return of a beloved game mode.
Some wrestlers left the company of their own accord, joining WWE’s main rival AEW. Some retired or semi-retired veterans have accepted roles in AEW, which means that WWE will need to remove these wrestlers from their WWE 2K22 roster as well.

While top WWE Superstars such as Adam Cole, Alastair Black, Christian, John Morrison, Ric Flair and Ruby Riott are likely to be included in the release this year, all contract terminations have left the company until 2021.
Some were released, while others chose not to resign from WWE after the contract expired. It all adds up when other stalwarts like Brian Danielson, Big Show, Sting and Chris Jericho join in.
The above list is subject to change as of the end of March. More celebrities are being fired than ever before, some of whom, like Mustafa Ali, are publicly demanding their release. Former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt, aka The Fiend, is another notable name.
Despite appearing in several previous releases, Wyatt joined a growing roster of editing talent in July 2021. As a result, neither Wyatt’s original appearance nor The Find is present. WWE 2K22 will include the Fiend character.
Remember that the WWE 2k22 roster list is in constant flux, with Superstars frequently switching between the Raw, SmackDown and developmental NXT brands. As a result, by the time the game’s release in March 2022, some wrestlers may have switched brands once again.
WWE 2K22 new release date
The game will go into Early Access on March 8 for those purchasing the more expensive version, but will be available to everyone on March 11, 2022.

WWE 2K22 Trailer
2K has released two trailers for the upcoming WWE game so far. The first is the “Hit List” trailer, which includes the gameplay features described above, and the second is their initial reveal trailer. Following the uproar and controversy caused by WWE 2K20, fans were curious to see what timing and development has taken place for the new game.
Ahead of the game’s March 11 release date, the WWE 2K22 roster is almost complete. There is no sign of Daniel Bryan or CM Punk in WWE 2K22 following promotion to AEW, but there are several new faces, including Cameron Grimes, Dexter Loomis, and Kay Lee Ray.
